Prof. Day-Yang Liu (National Taiwan University of Science and Technology)
Day-Yang Liu obtained a PhD degree from Tulane University in 1988 and is now a professor of the Graduate Institute of Finance at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. He has held many academic positions, including University Chief of Staff and Department Chairman of both Business Administration and Finance. Now he serves as Director of both the Center for the Study of Lottery and Commercial Gaming, and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Over the years, Dr. Liu has completed more than 100 research projects for government agencies and various industries, and his work has also appeared in many peer-referred scholarly journals. On November 29, 2008, he established The Center for the Study of Lottery and Commercial Gaming, the only research center of its kind in Taiwan, to promote the legalization of the commercial gaming industry, the casino and lottery in particular. Now he is collaborating with several adjunct scholars to help the county government of the outer island of Matsu realize this initiative.
